The Atom - one of the most exhilarating track vehicles around! The Ariel Atom (245hp and 1,300 lbs) - It's hard to describe the sensations associated with acceleration and handling that surpasses that of exotics and the howl of that Supercharger as you scream down the straightaway. The AAE team put on a truly professional program with safety and learning paramount - all our gear, food and hydration needs were taken care of superbly. The exuberant and qualified staff were there to address any concern or need that would arise - speaking personally; it made me feel like Michael Schumacher for the day. Once equipped with our track gear; which was new or perfectly clean; we were briefed on the Ariel, the specifics of the track and procedures to be followed. The Track Sessions progressively ramped our competence with the Atom and the track; de-briefs and Q&A sessions were held alternately with track sessions to complement the learning. Each of us had a personal instructor with 2-way radio contact at all times to coach us through the elements of vision, line, entry, apex, and exit; in concert with the braking, cornering and acceleration potential of the Atom. At the end of the day, those of us that participated in either the Calgary AB - Race City, or Belleville ON - Shannonville events; were all smitten by the Ariel Atom, left wanting for more - those that experienced the extended track time of the Platinum program were only limited by their personal abilities to fully explore the potential of the amazing Ariel Atom.
